Confirming a pregnancy
Signs of pregnancy can include:
• Missing a period
• Feeling sick (nauseous) or vomiting
• Having sore or larger breasts
• Feeling dizzy or tired
Not all people who are pregnant have these signs. It’s a good idea to confirm a pregnancy by taking a pregnancy test or by having a doctor do a test for you.

Parenting

Finding out you are pregnant can bring lots of joy, but it can also bring lots of other emotions.
People may feel surprised, upset or even confused. This may be the case if they were not planning on getting pregnant or if they got pregnant quicker than expected. These emotions are ok. It’s normal for people to be unsure about the future, especially if this is the first time they have been pregnant.
Choosing to raise a child is a big decision. It is important to talk to your partner about how you both feel about the changes to your relationship, income and lifestyle that raising a child will bring.
Some people might not know how to feel because of their situation. For example, they might have a partner who doesn’t support them or their pregnancy, or they might be having the baby on their own.
It can help to talk about how you are feeling with someone you care about. You can also talk to a health worker at a Hospital (District and Main Hospitals in Upolu and Savaii).
